Our entrance is to the rear of the Barrack Block at Maker Heights, on the ground floor beneath the granite staircase. We encourage all patrons to use public transport. Regular buses (70 and 70A) run from neighbouring villages and stop at the entrance to the site; it's a short walk up from there.

If you're coming from Plymouth, the last 70A bus will get you to the entrance just before 7pm, or the Cremyll Ferry runs regularly and meets the same bus loop to take you up the hill too. Please note that neither service runs late into the evening, so we suggest camping, or advance booking a taxi for the end of the night.

If you’re getting a train from further afield, stopping at Plymouth Station is probably your best bet. Alternatively, the 172 bus from St Germans station does meet the 70/70A bus in Antony if you time it right, otherwise it’s approximately a half hour journey via taxi.

The main car park is behind The Canteen, take a left just past the Nissen Hut complex. This is a public space so please park sensibly and be respectful of other users. Please do not drive towards the Barrack Block or park anywhere on grass. If you suspect you may be over the limit, DO NOT DRIVE. We will happily call you a cab, and your car is fine to be left until the following day.

📍 The site postcode is PL10 1LA, please drive carefully.

We recommend that you camp for the full experience. Maker Camp is a separate entity, and that it is only open for six months of the year, from April through to the end of September. It is always advisable to book in advance as there are a limited number of pitches that often sell out, especially during peak holidays. Please visit https://makercamp.org.uk for more information. Please be aware that Maker Camp is a family campsite with a reasonable noise curfew of 10:30pm, no exceptions.

Unless otherwise stated, doors open for evening activities at 7pm sharp, and start shortly after. Due to noise restrictions on site, loud/amplified music finishes at 10pm, but we stay open much later with local selectors, tunes and conversational/social vibes. Please be aware that we may restrict access to smoking areas after this time if we feel that excess noise will disturb our neighbours. Please be considerate of other site users while visiting us. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult and vacate the premises at 10pm at the latest. Valid photo ID always required.

We share a licensed area with the Garrison Gallery next door, an amazing community arts space and craft cocktail bar. Patrons are only able to consume drinks which have been purchased from either of our bars within our premises. Our team/security may conduct bag searches and confiscate prohibited items, including alcohol being brought in from off premises. This is a legal requirement to protect our entertainment licence, it’s nothing personal so please do not take offence.

Please be mindful of other site users, including families on campsites, and keep noise to a minimum outside, especially after 10pm. This is most important in our outdoor smoking areas, and when leaving the site or returning to your tents late at night. Our continued existence relies on our ability to co-exist in harmony with the many other organisations at Maker Heights. We politely ask our patrons to bear this in mind at all times and be part of the solution, not the problem.

Massive thank you for reading all of this, we cannot wait to see you up the hill 🌞
