A Press of Suspects {presents} are returning to Patchwork Studios bringing their unique brand of comedy events. This time they are hosting the INCREDIBLE Louis Burgess!

Online viral sensation Louis Burgess has been dubbed as one of freshest & most exciting musical comedy acts in the UK. Louis has achieved over 50 million views worldwide for his online comedy videos, best known for his online hits “I’m Awake” and “Long Build Ups and Disappointing Drops”. 

Featured on Unilad, Viral Thread, Wall Of Comedy, The Poke & Metro to name a few. His unique and innovative live act is a rip-roaring concoction of singing, rapping, sampling, beatboxing, strumming, looping and more. This Halloween, the Garrison Gallery and Patchwork Studios are throwing their spookiest annual extravaganza yet, with a Monster Ball at the Old Hollywood Hotel.

Three mind-warping bands from across the UK will descend upon Patchwork Studios for a night of bone-shaking psych, rock, and doom. Meanwhile, the Garrison Gallery will be transformed into the shadowed halls of the Old Hollywood Hotel; a place of faded glamour and unsettling beauty, where sinister hosts will be serving bespoke cocktails potent enough to raise the dead.

🦇 This is the fifth year that the Garrison Gallery and Patchwork have held its highly terrifying, highly revered Halloween extravaganza. Expect no less than a transformed Garrison into the craky, creepy surrounds of the Old Hollywood Hotel, horror-themed cocktails, whilst the decibels from our bands next door in Patchwork keep the dead on track.

🧛‍♂️ Come dressed to distress - the theme is Monster Ball. The more obscure, mind-bending and truly monstrous, the better. The most impressive of get ups will be voted upon on the night, with the prom king and queen (to be announced at 8pm in Patchwork) awarded FREE BEERS for the rest of the evening!

SUTHERING consists of Julu and Heg, whose harmonies weave effortlessly through their original songs, paired with gentle guitar and emotive piano arrangements, transporting audiences into a world of timeless storytelling. Known for their chemistry and humour on stage, they effortlessly intertwine their important messages about the state of our climate, social conscience, and the importance of community and connecting with nature. They champion female characters, creating new narratives for women and unearthing the female heroines of the folk tradition.

2024 marked the release of their second studio album Leave A Light On. Produced by BBC Radio 2 Folk Award Winner, Sean Lakeman (Levellers, Seth Lakeman), the album is a bold new direction in sound for the duo.

After a very successful first year, the second edition of Elevation Film Festival will return to Maker Heights (Cornwall, UK) on 6-7 September 2025.

Elevation celebrates emerging voices in artistic, experimental, and expanded cinema across southwest England, the UK and internationally.

We welcome filmmakers to showcase their work across a weekend of screenings, talks and workshops, connecting regional and international artists in a vibrant community celebration of moving image culture. We accept national and international submissions of artists' and experimental film, installation and expanded cinema performance, plus films of any genre made in Devon & Cornwall.

Elevation is an in-person film festival with screenings held at Patchwork Studios and other spaces in the historic Barrack Block at Maker Heights in South East Cornwall, UK. This is a unique cultural, artistic and historical landscape. Centred around a historic barrack block building occupied by a community of visual artists and musicians, Maker features a campsite, inspiring views and access to beaches and woodland.

Taking place from 6 to 7 September 2025, Elevation is supported by Patchwork Studios, Maker Camp, Rame Conservation Trust, and the wider community of artists based at Maker Heights.

Elevation is curated by a team of film enthusiasts and artists based at Maker Heights. The programming team includes Richard Ashrowan, the founder and former Director of Alchemy Film Festival in Scotland, Emily Saunders, Becky Hand and Chris Stacey.

For our end of summer party we’ve got some of Bristol's finest selectors that you almost certainly have never heard of! Introspect Collective are bringing their records down to the Cornish coast for an evening of bumping house music. 

As well as running clubnights in Bristol for the past few years, the Void Radio residents help run one of Glastonbury festivals best kept secrets, Babylon Uprising. We’re very excited to have them down to see off the summer with a bang, so grab your tickets while you can!

Introspect is a small collective, which was born years back in Somerset when putting on local parties in the hills surrounding them and has flourished in the clubs of Bristol as well as the fields of worthy farm. Ran by Lesula and RO-G1 who’re known for their tasteful selections spanning across all things house, techno, breakbeat and garage. Joining them for the night will be their good friends Candyfloss, Rory M, and Roger Sultry!
